Peter Bently is the award-winning author of many books for younger children. These include OCTOPUS SHOCKTOPUS (winner of the UK Children's Book Award 2022 and the Teach Early Years Picture Book Prize 2020), CATS AHOY! (winner of the Roald Dahl Funny Prize 2011); DOGS IN DISGUISE (winner of the Shropshire Bookfest Picture Book Award 2022); KING JACK AND THE DRAGON (an American Library Association Notable Book of the Year, and shortlisted for the Kate Greenaway Medal), THE GREAT DOG BOTTOM SWAP (shortlisted for the Roald Dahl Funny Prize, and described by writer, director and presenter Dawn O'Porter as "Maybe my all time favourite children's book.") Peter lives in London with his wife Lucy.
