A Small Person's Guide to Grandmas by Jane Clarke

Illustrated by Lucy Fleming

A truly heart-warming celebration of grandmas everywhere!
When it’s time to visit Grandma, it is very important to look after her. Grandma loves to bake, but you have to take charge of stirring and licking the spoon – all she has to do is put the cookies in the oven. You must take her to the park for fresh air and exercise, but make sure she doesn’t get too adventurous on the climbing frame! Told from the point of view of an expert grandchild, this is a truly heart-warming celebration of grandmas that overflows with charm, humour and multigenerational love.

Jane Clarke is the author of over 80 books for young children, including the award-winning Gilbert the Great series and Stuck in the Mud. She's also a children's poet, so she's thrilled to bits to have three rhyming picture books with Nosy Crow (Who Woke the Baby, Old MacDonald's Things That Go, and I Saw Anaconda). Jane's latest picture book is Firefly Home, a super follow-up to her brilliant interactive picture book Neon Leon. Jane enjoys visiting nurseries and primary schools, and loves animals, country walks, fossil hunts, meeting up with her sons and their families in the UK and USA, and having fun with her granddaughters.

Lucy Fleming has been an avid doodler and bookworm since early childhood, and graduated from the University of Lincoln with a first-class honours degree in Illustration. She has illustrated a number of books including her authorial debut Ella’s Night Lights, River Rose and the Magical Christmas, written by singer Kelly Clarkson, The Snow Queen and Rapunzel, both written by Saviour Pirotta, and Fum, written by Karl Newson.
