Margaret Wild is an Australian children’s writer. She was born in South Africa and came to Australia in 1972. She has been a journalist on newspapers and magazines, and she worked as a book editor in children's publishing for sixteen years, responsible for managing and commissioning a large range of titles. Margaret has written more than 70 books for children. Her books are published around the world and have won numerous awards.

Ann James is an award-winning children’s book illustrator who has collaborated with many authors and publishers to illustrate over 60 books. She works in a variety of mediums including pen and ink, watercolour, soft pastels, charcoal and collage. In 2003 Ann received the Dromkeen Medal. Ann is a founding Board member of the Australian Children’s Literature Alliance. She lives and works in Melbourne, Australia.
