Yasmeen Ismail is an exciting talent in the world of picture books. Her artwork and characters are both charming and unique. She studied at art school in Dublin and has worked on a wide range of illustration and animation projects. Yasmeen has a great eye for colour, detail and composition. Her first book, Time for Bed, Fred! won the V&A Book Illustration Award and was shortlisted for the Waterstones Children's Book Prize. I'm a Girl! has been nominated for the Kate Greenaway Award and is shortlisted for the Bord G.is Irish Book Awards 2015 in the Children's JNR category. Yasmeen is Irish and now lives in Bristol.

Jenni Desmond is an illustrator, artist and picture book author, working from a studio in a rattling railway arch in east London. She graduated with distinction from the Masters in Children's Book Illustration at Cambridge School of Art (APU). Her first picture book won the Cambridgeshire "Read it Again" Picture Book award 2013. Her most recent book for Walker is On the Night of the Shooting Star, written by Amy Hest. Jenni lives in London, N16.
