Maisie Barlow is one of the few surviving elders of the Jirrbal people of Queensland Australia. Her work has been resuming the storytelling tradition that was broken with white settlement and the dispossession of people from their land and their families.

Michael is a craftsperson immersed in the traditional culture of the rainforest people of the coastal area of north Queensland. In 1998 Boiyool became the first Queenslander to win a major prize at the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art Awards in the Northern Territory. His work is represented in galleries and touring collections, including the Australian National University, School of Art Gallery, Canberra.
